Emergency Preparedness
(Will be held at the Wintonbury Branch)
Held on three Thursdays evenings (January 26, February 23 and March 22) this workshop teaches participants about emergency preparedness. Learn what to do in case of a school or workplace shooting or a terrorist attack. In addition, learn how to create an emergency kit and recognize the signs of a medical emergency in order to help victims until trained personnel arrive. Please register, 860-242-0041. Meet the Authors: Howard Hunter & Kenneth Williams
Two local authors will visit Prosser. Howard Hunter, a Bloomfield resident and author of Tenure, will discuss his memoir, which brings a message of hope and hard work to inspire today's youth. Kenneth Williams, author of the novel Red Tail Heart, will discuss his first novel, a story about a decorated Tuskegee airman. Registration is appreciated, call 860-243-9721.

Our Wintonbury Branch adult literacy program is growing!
