About the Program:

The Wintonbury Branch has begun Reading & Writing classes for adults this fall. The first class began on Monday, August 31 and will continue on Mondays and Wednesdays evenings from 6-8:00 P.M. through the winter.  Classes are designed and organized by Literacy Volunteers of Greater Hartford for adults who are at lower reading levels and are not yet comfortable in the A.B.E. (Adult Basic Education) and G.E.D. (High school equivalency) classes offered through the Adult Education Department in Bloomfield.

The Wintonbury Branch is offering a safe place to prepare for these more rigorous programs. Registration is currently under way.

Please call
Miriam Lopez at
860-233-3853
to schedule a registration appointment.

For general information about this Wintonbury Branch program, please contact the Bloomfield librarians involved, either Laura Vasselle, 860-243-9721
or Claudia Wright, 860-242-0041.
