About the Friends:

About the Friends:

The Friends of the Bloomfield Public Libraries run two book sales each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. All proceeds from the sale go to help support the unbudgeted needs of both Prosser Public Library and the Wintonbury Branch. The Friends also host an annual Spring Luncheon which features as keynote speaker a prominent member of the Hartford area community.

Current President: Judy Poliner, 242-0198
Please call Judy if you are interested in becoming a member of the Friends.

Monthly Meetings: The Friends hold meetings in Prosser's Community Room on the first Thursday of the month at 2:00 P.M., excluding July and August. All members are invited.

Clean books in good condition can be dropped off at the Children's Room Circulation Desk at Prosser Public Library. We welcome hardcover and paperback recent fiction (please, nothing over 10 years old unless it's a classic), art books, biographies, how-to books, cookbooks, books on gardening and crafts, large-print books and up-to-date self-help books. We also appreciate books about sports, health, politics, business and entertainment. We are interested in all children's books, particularly those about the major holidays. We accept videos, DVDs, cassettes, and music CDs and books on tape.

Please, no records, atlases, old textbooks, encyclopedias or Readers' Digest condensed books, professional books, computer manuals, or magazines, other than National Geographic. For additional information about book donations, please contact Julie Neaverson, at 242-2235.
